Business Development Manager — SEC Contractors Platform

Type: Remote | Full-time | Commission + Base

The Role

You will be the commercial face of sa-sec.com, the first SaaS platform built exclusively for Unified Contract with Saudi Electricity Company . You will own the full sales cycle — from first contact with a contractor's GM to signed subscription agreement — while building strategic relationships inside SEC itself to drive top-down adoption.

This is a hunter role with long-term account management responsibility. The market is untapped and the product has no direct competitor.

What You'll Do

Client Acquisition (SEC Contractors)

  • Identify and target contractors active in SEC's Unified Distribution System (UDS) across all 20 Saudi regions
  • Present sa-sec.com to General Managers, Operations Directors, and Finance Managers
  • Demonstrate the platform with live demos showing contract management, regional pricing, and invoicing workflows
  • Convert prospects through Standard → Premium → Enterprise tiers based on company size
  • Negotiate and close annual subscription agreements

SEC Relationship Management

  • Build relationships within SEC's Procurement, IT, and Regional Management departments
  • Pursue formal SEC approval to position sa-sec.com as the recommended/mandated platform for all registered contractors
  • Present the platform at SEC supplier events and contractor qualification sessions
  • Highlight integration value of  held in Trust (Amanat) materials management to stakeholders.

Partnerships & Ecosystem

  • Identify and engage engineering consultants who approve contractor work orders (key influencers)
  • Connect with Saudi Contractors Authority (هيئة المقاولين) for broader market access
  • Build referral channels through accounting firms and ERP consultants serving contractors
  • Represent the company at industry events (Cityscape, SASO conferences, contractor forums)

Revenue & Reporting

  • Own a quarterly revenue target (subscriptions + onboarding fees)
  • Maintain a structured pipeline in the CRM
  • Provide weekly reports on prospects, demos scheduled, and deals in progress
  • Gather market feedback to shape product roadmap

Who You Are

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years in B2B sales or business development in Saudi Arabia
  • Proven track record selling software, SaaS, or technology to Saudi companies
  • Deep existing network within the SEC contractor ecosystem OR within SEC itself
  • Excellent Arabic (native) and professional English
  • Saudi national preferred (for SEC relationship access) | Iqama holders with strong SEC network considered

Strong Advantage:

  • Previous experience at an SEC contractor company in operations or finance
  • Existing relationships with SEC Regional Managers or Procurement team
  • Familiarity with Odoo, SAP, or similar ERP systems
  • Experience selling to construction / engineering / utilities sector

Character:

  • Self-starter — you build your own pipeline
  • Comfortable presenting to C-level and technical audiences
  • Patient with long sales cycles (government-adjacent sector)
  • Ethical — this market runs on trust and long-term relationships
